Patients are screened for Covid-19 symptoms at the time they request an appointment. Patients will be asked screening questions relating to their symptoms. If a screening question is marked “Yes” to any Covid 19 screening question, the appointment will be converted to a Telemedicine Visit.
Patients will once again be screened for Covid-19 symptoms when they arrive to the office for their scheduled appointment. Their temperature will also be taken. If ‘Yes” is selected for any Covid-19 screening question, the patient will be asked to leave the office and the appointment will converted to a Telemedicine visit.
Patients should call the office and advise if any symptoms have developed since the time they initially scheduled an appointment and the day of the appointment. Patients will not be seen in office if they have any of the Covid-19 symptoms listed on out screening form.
Guided by recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we have taken a number of steps to ensure our office remains a safe place for you to receive care.
A patient’s individual circumstances will be evaluated by their provider to determine if they should be scheduled for in-office appointment or if their care needs could be handled through a Telemedicine Appointment.
Our policy restricts visitors to reduce the number of people in our office and, therefore, the risk of exposure between patients, visitors and staff.
You are asked not to bring anyone with you for your appointment unless it is absolutely necessary. We understand this can be difficult and appreciate your understanding. If it is necessary to have someone with you during your office visit, their temperature will be taken before entering our office. Please inform us, prior to your arrival, if someone will be accompanying you to your office visit.
Masks for Staff: All staff wear masks to ensure their safety and the safety of our patients.
Masks for Patients and Visitors: All patients and anyone with them will be asked to wear a mask or cloth face covering while in our office. You will be required to wear your own facemask when entering our office.
Hand Sanitizer: Hand sanitizer is available at each check-in, check-out counter and in each exam room. Each member of our health care staff sanitizes their hands before and after each patient encounter.
Screening for COVID-19 Symptoms: We screen all patients for COVID-19 symptoms. You will be asked specific questions when you call to schedule your appointment. Note: This is not an in-office screening.
In addition, when you arrive for your appointment, you and anyone with you, will also be asked about any cough, fever and other symptoms of respiratory virus infection that you or others in your household may be experiencing.
Our Staff are also screened for COVID-19 symptoms each day. Temperatures are checked and recorded.
Common Areas: Areas such as waiting rooms, check-in counters, and restrooms are cleaned often with special attention to frequently touched surfaces.
Exam Rooms: These are fully cleaned and disinfected between each patient.
Social Distancing: We have made special arrangements to support social distancing. We have arranged furniture in waiting areas to create more space between patients. Signs have been placed on chairs, designating appropriate seating.
E-Check-In – Phreesia: We offer electronic check-ins to further limit your exposure to others.
We are offering patients the option to wait in their vehicle, and they will be called when the provider is ready to see them, limiting exposure to others.
